Corporate Social Responsibility

Luck; it's often said to make or break a person's life. But I believe it’s about more than just luck; it’s about having opportunities and the drive to explore them. In a country like India, where a significant portion of the population lives in underprivileged conditions, seeing luck as a ray of sunshine is a limited perspective. Instead, it’s our responsibility to create opportunities for those who may not have them, or at the very least, to lend a helping hand. This idea is gradually gaining recognition, with schools and companies increasingly embracing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. From plant drives and book donations to volunteering with children, our society is evolving for the better.

Take a moment to reflect: what would have happened if you never had that one opportunity that changed your life? Whether it was joining your school or discovering a passion through an unexpected class, those moments define our path.

Volunteering plays a crucial role in this process. What you give truly comes back to you. From sharing sweets with guards to volunteering at nonprofits like Project Kitab, or even making donations, every act of kindness counts. That one math book you donated five years ago might just have landed in the hands of an aspiring mathematician.

I take pride in how my school recognizes the importance of giving back, providing us with ample opportunities to contribute to society. Whether it's through the eco club, book donation drives, or celebrating Global Youth Service Day, we’ve engaged in meaningful activities.

Remember, you have the power to change someone’s life for the better. Embrace it and make an impact, because ten years from now, you might not recall every detail, but those you helped will always remember you. You could be their luck—the person who brings a life-changing opportunity into their world.

So, the next time you question your purpose or wonder what you’ll gain from an experience, think about the unexplored opportunities that may come your way. Focus on the learning journey, because, as they say, the journey is always more rewarding than the destination.
